Short But Sweet: February 2019 Disney Trip Day 2: Epcot and a Dream Come True

Day 2 of our Disney Day was a whirlwind. The plan was to go to breakfast at Cape May Cafe, and then spend the day at Epcot for the Festival of the Arts. But then we discovered that Animal Kingdom had extra magic hours that morning, and I hadn't managed to score a Fast Pass for Flight of Passage, so I knew that would be our opportunity to be able to ride. I had no idea when we planned our trip, however, that this day would be President's Day...

Short But Sweet: February 2019 Disney Trip Day 1: Magic Kingdom

It had only been about two and a half months since our last trip to Disney World, and normally we'd be brainstorming when to go back, but instead, we were leaving our car at the airport long-term parking and boarding a plane at 5am again to go back to Disney World. (We got the exit row with extra leg room, ahh, nice!)

Why so soon? Well, there's a new festival at Epcot (this was only its third year) called the Epcot Festival of the Arts that we've been wanting to check out in person since it started, and now that we're Annual Passholders, we thought well...why not a shorter little mini trip? So here we were!

December 2018 Disney World Trip Day 5 - Farewell Magic Kingdom

All good things must come to an end, including Disney trips. This morning, we woke up early to check our bags at the airline counter at the resort (such a great service) and headed off to Magic Kingdom. 

December 2018 Disney World Trip Day 4 - Hollywood Studios

Day four of our December Disney World trip dawned, and we finally would have an opportunity to see the new Toy Story Land that opened in the summer of 2018. We originally had plans to do a breakfast at a resort, but we canceled those and decided to go ahead and rope drop Slinky Dog Dash, the more popular of the two new rides in the Toy Story Land.

Day three of our trip, we finally made our way over to Epcot to explore the Festival of the Holidays, and the magic of Disney returned to our hearts.

Day two meant waking up at 6 in the morning so we could arrive at Animal Kingdom by 7:30 or so, to wait on the coldest morning yet to rope drop Flight of Passage.

December 2018 Disney World Trip Day 1 - Magic Kingdom and Merida Amazes

Welcome to the first day of our December 2018 Disney World trip! As per usual, it was an early morning, and this time it was our first time leaving our vehicle on the lot at the airport, so there was  a lot of new bleary-eyed information to take in.

But trust me, despite it being about 4:30am in this photo, we were still quite excited.
