Cool Dresses at Hot Topic

One lament I've had in the past is that it seemed like Hot Topic's Disney dresses were all a bit too graphic-y, and not romantic enough. The only exception to this seemed to be their beautiful Alice in Wonderland dresses, but that movie isn't one of my favorites.

Well, thankfully it appears HT  has listened! When I looked at their site yesterday, I saw several new beautiful, feminine and romantic patterned Disney dresses available.

The first I have to share is this one. I'm not about to toot my own horn and say I was apparently on-trend, but I DID talk about using princess toile fabric to make a dress almost two months ago. ;)

I love how subtle this Winnie the Pooh dress fabric is.

I also love this Hundred Acre Woods map print.

And this Ariel floral design is beautiful, and comes in both small and plus sizes.

Cinderella - Have Courage and Be Kind

I have not abandoned you, dear reader! These past few weeks have been a bit chaotic for me, and something had to give...it wound up being this blog. But my Disney spirit shines bright, as evidenced by the outfit I wore today for a visit from Cinderella to our library for a special story time.

This quote from the live-action Cinderella (2015) movie means a great deal to me. From the moment it first appeared in the trailer for the film, the words of Cinderella's dying movie just resonated strongly with me. It has been a reminder to me ever since in difficult times.

A week or so ago, my friend and I tried a make-and-take program at a local Columbus business known as the Smithery. We made hammered letter necklace pendants, and of course mine had to say "Have Courage & Be Kind"

Two years ago for my birthday, my husband also got me a shirt with the quote on it as well.

Combine this with my Cinderella castle skirt I've shared before, and the Disney charm bracelet I've also shared, and I had a fun theme-outfit for our story time with Cinderella.

Sunday Shopping on Amazon

For my birthday, I got some Amazon gift cards. Last night I did some shopping on there, and stumbled across a few cute things I wanted to share.

This is an awfully cute skater dress for a great price. I love how it's advertised as "fairy butterfly" instead of Tinker Bell.

Similarly, this "Chinese style beauty" is clearly a very nicely classical Chinese painting style version of Mulan.

A pretty dip-dyed tank top of Snow White.

Faith Trust and Pixie Dust! This boxy top would look cute with a maxi skirt I bet...

..as would this princess crop top.

And here's a maxi skirt for a pretty good price with good reviews. I might try buying one.

And of course...a flower crown.
